Photowalk – Rooftops in a Winter Storm – New York City
The northeast got hit with a pretty good snowstorm. When the snow hits NYC, you have a few hours to photograph the beauty of it before it turns to black, nasty slush. When I went out, however, I quickly discovered how mind-numbingly cold it is outside: 15 degrees, with a wind chill making it feel like -1. My photo walk came to an end quickly. Here are what I think are the best captures from my brief excursion. I felt some looked better in black and white, but most of them looked really good with their natural gray and sepia tones of the buildings. I edited the last one with a filter that gave a nice vintage look.

To me this part of New York seems to be very cramped and dirty. Who else has a other association to a Winter Storm? I expected something totally different!
