“The Ballad of Jethro Tull” Published by Rocket88 Books
An oral history of Jethro Tull, put together by Ian Anderson, with commentary from the dozens of band members who have come and gone over the years. The book is in coffee table format, with big, excellent photos throughout. It’s a chronological account, with lots of artifacts from the early days. Jethro Tull was my favorite band in high school. I was fanatically into them. I still listen to and enjoy those early albums very much. Thick as a Brick will probably always be one of my top three favorite albums of all time. The stories and commentary in the book are great, and although I started drifting away from their music around 1980, I still find their history pretty interesting. A treasure trove of great information for the true fan.
