Quick Book Review: “10% happier: Meditation for Fidgety Skeptics” by Dan Harris and Jeffrey Warren
This was a really good, practical book. I go through phases where I meditate regularly, and when I do, my life is much better. But I sometimes let my travel schedule distract me from the practice, and I forget to do it on the weekends, and before I realize it, I’ve let the practice of meditation fall by the wayside. This book was a great refresher course for how it’s done and why it’s so beneficial. I don’t think I’ve read a clearer explanation of the idea behind mindfulness meditation anywhere else, and the book not only rekindled my interest, but really showed me how to make it a truly regular part of my life, like brushing your teeth every day. Plus, the book works in conjunction with an app that you can download, and the app has all sorts of meditations on it, including some walking meditations. I’ve discovered that you don’t always need a cushion to sit on or a very quiet place to meditate. I’ve meditated every day since finishing this book, and I’m sure it will continue. A really practical, relatable book.

This article is a source of inspiration for me, it helps me a lot in sleep problems.
I also used this Rain Sounds https://youtu.be/uSxflHAxweE to fall asleep easily.
Thanks, keep it up!

Wow! That really is 10 hours of rain (no thunder). Personally, I like white noise to fall asleep, but ocean sounds, whales, nature sounds, campfires, all those atmospheric ambiances I’m sure are extremely healthy for the brain.
